Shrewsbury has a good range of shops both High Street names and small independent stores. Main shopping areas are at Pride Hill; the High Street and surrounding areas; Pride Hill indoor centre;
Darwin indoor centre (off Pride Hill); Riverside indoor centre (near Raven Meadows car park);
the Parade (a collection of independent traders in an indoor shopping centre at St Mary’s Place by St Mary’s church)

and the Market Hall (below).

Market Hall at junction of Bellstone and Barker Street

The Market Hall is a great place to find local produce and it is open Tuesday-Saturday each week. The main shopping days there are Fridays and Saturdays. To find the Market Hall, look for the clock tower near Barker Street. It has a wide variety of fresh produce at very reasonable prices. Stalls include organic produce, meat, vegetables and fruit, confectionery, seafood, bread and cakes and a very good delicatessen.
